Thee Domesticated Journey

One of the greatest goals of any wife and/or mother is to become the end all be all mom.  A lot of people call this person ‘domesticated’, and as the end of school closes in, my urge to become a better the end all be all grows!  I have more time now to think about all of the little details and oil this machine we call home.

Now, being the ‘perfect’ wife/mother is not in my definition of the end all be all domesticated lady..  Nobody can be the perfect wife or mother.  Nobody can be the perfect anything for that matter.  My goal is to keep this machine {home} well oiled.  What do I mean by well oiled: clean, organized, debt free, fed, and most of all… HAPPY!

My main areas for concentration needed are being clean, organized, and fed.  I need to find ways to fit in laundry for a family of four while keeping every room clean, in the midst of 2 toddlers running around.  I need to find a way to get on a ‘dinner plan’, so we don’t buy unnecessary groceries and we don’t have things to throw away in the fridge.  I NEED to find a way for every room to be ORGANIZED, for my SANITY!

On this journey, I have been researching things that work for others and tweaking them to fit my family.  There are a plethora of resources available for those on the same journey as I.  Websites, books, shows, and the list goes on.  So I know I’m not alone!  As I find these golden nuggets of precious ideas, I will share my findings in hopes that someone out there as desperate as I am will find some golden nuggets of their own.

If you have any bits of precious secrets to keeping your machine oiled, please, let me know!
